Schalke made the second round 11-1 over lower league Teningen while Munich won 3-0 at Eintracht Braunschweig a week ago.
The 16 second-round matches scheduled for October 25/26 feature two all-Bundesliga meetings: Hanover v Mainz and Hoffenheim v Cologne.
Bundesliga champions Borussia Dortmund host second division Dynamo Dresden, who came from 3-0 down to upset Bayer Leverkusen 4-3 in the first round.
